I read and reviewed the first book in this series and had felt it was rushed as if the author was just trying to wrap everything up as quickly as possible. However, I thought the ghost story itself had been good and decided to give the series another try. I'm glad I did because this story was much better. The story centers around Cassidy, a woman with abilities to contact the paranormal through her paintings. She works with a group called Gulf Coast Paranormal to investigate and solve cases at haunted sites in and around Mobile, AL. I enjoyed this story; it was an easy read on a cool Autumn day. The ghost provided a few fun scares and there are a few interesting back-stories for most of the characters. I am about to start the third book; I really want to know what happened to Cassidy's younger sister who disappeared several years ago.Product details

I could not put this one down. Every emotion a person can go through was very well described in not the exact words. Excitement, sadness, anger, happiness all “painted” very well into the story. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves ghost stories.
I was interested in the story of Estella and that kept me reading. The other characters seemed to lack depth. Writing was not very good. But I do love a good ghost story and that alone allowed me to finish the book. Can't really recommend this one.
I loved this book so much! The story moved along perfectly! I love the characters and can't wait to see where they go next. M.L.Bullock is an exceptional writer and storyteller and I know I'm sure to love any book she writes.
I read the first and now this one and LOVE your style. Scarey but not grotesque. Kept me reading but not so slow as to want to cheat by going to the back to see how it ended.) !! Can't wait til the next one so don't stop writing these. Read a lot of your others based on ghosts like Idlewood and loved Seven Sisters. You are good.
I read Bullock's Seven Sisters series and really enjoyed it. This, however, was not worth my time. I should've stopped when I read "We could serve wine and cheese. That would draw culture lovers."
The writing is extremely juvenile. It read like a bad young adult book. Very disappointing.
I really liked this one. The characters felt a lot more developed. Plus it felt like the author devoted more time to the story behind the ghosts. I learned a lot more about Estella and her story that I did about Auralia's in book 1. The author didn't seem rushed to get to the end. I think she also did a decent job of creating suspense. There was also a nice balance between the ghosts' story and the paranormal team's story. This one might make me want to continue with the series
Cassidy has a special psyhic gift. As she paints the visions in her mind, she is transported to that place in time, which ends up being the next case for the Gulf Coast Paranormal Investigation Team. Cassidy begins to paint a mural on the wall of a team member’s home, and she is swept away into an uncontrollable painting session. When she looks back at what she has painted, she is shocked to see a strange woman in the mural. As the team begins their next investigation, the mural comes into play as they work at solving a murder mystery that happened many years ago.
Ms. Bullock’s writing captures me every time. I love feeling like I’m on a paranormal investigation along with the rest of the team, and the murder-mystery kept me turning the pages. The twist in this one was unexpected and well described as was the rest of the story.
